Dr. Sebastiano Serrao has performed more than 5000 ocular surgery; he is expert in cataract surgery, laser surgery for vision correction, in the treatment of corneal diseases such as keratoconus, in the treatment of retinal diseases and maculopathies and in pediatric ophthalmology.

Dr. Sebastiano Serrao has been involved for many years in the development of new treatments for keratoconus (transepithelial corneal cross-linking), cataract and refractive errors of the eye. He has published more than 85 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and 6 chapters in the book. He is a member of the editorial board of Survey of Ophthalmology and is a reviewer for more than 10 international scientific journals.
